Pelton turbine
Pelton turbine is sprayed by the water from the nozzle and impacts on the bucket blade along the tangential direction of the runner circumference to do work. A Pelton turbine is composed of a nozzle, a needle, a deflector, a runner and a casing. The nozzle is installed at the end of the water pipe, and its main function is to convert all the pressure water energy into speed energy and shoot to the runner. The injection needle is also called the needle valve, the head is circular arc, and the deflector is controlled by the governor to change the flow area of the annular section of the nozzle outlet and adjust the flow to the bucket. The deflector is located at the outlet of the nozzle, and when the unit dumps the load, it acts to diverge the jet jet to the water bucket. The runner of a bucket turbine is a disc with a number of buckets, which are shaped like a water spoon and have a water blade in the middle.Proposed by the American Pelton in 1889, also known as Pelton type turbine.
