Impulse turbine

Impulse turbine mainly uses the impact force of the water flow to do work. When the water spews out from the nozzle at high speed, it directly impacts the runner of the turbine, making the runner rotate, thus driving the generator to generate electricity. This mode of work determines that the impact turbine has higher requirements for the speed of the water flow, and relatively low requirements for the water flow.

Reaction turbine

Reaction turbine works mainly through the interaction between the water flow and the blade. When water enters the turbine, it first flows through the guide blade and fixed blade, and then impacts the active blade on the runner to make the runner rotate. This mode of operation allows the impact turbine to do work effectively at a lower flow rate, and the requirements for water flow are also high.

Francis turbine
Francis turbine is a type of impact turbine. It was invented by American engineer Francis in 1849, also known as radial axial flow turbine. Its working principle is to use the pressure and kinetic energy of the water flow to the runner blade through the guide vane and the nozzle, so that the runner generates rotating power, thereby driving the generator to rotate and generate electric energy.
