Kaplan turbine / Axial flow propeller turbines/ vertical turbine
Kaplan turbine is a kind of turbine suit to low water head 3-45 meters, and with certain big flow, normally divided into
fixed blades and adjustable blades turbine. Main components
including: runner, draft cone, water chamber, guide vane,
bearing, and main shaft. The spiral case could be steel or
concrete. The runner diameter we can manufacture is from
80cm to 4meters, with rated output 50Kw to 20Mw.
Turbine units normally be vertical shaft arrangement.
Generator equipped with same or different shaft,
they will share the same rotating speed. If specially
required, a speed increase gear could be equipped
between turbine and generator in order to smaller the generator size.
Before you can begin planning your systems or estimating how much power you'll produce, you'll need to make four essential measurements:
1. Head (the vertical distance between your intake and turbine)
2. Flow (how much water comes down the stream)
3. Pipeline (Penstock) length
4. Transmission Line length

Kaplan runner with 3 to 6 blades, fixed blades runner,
blades are casted and then welded on the runner hub,
and bolts connection with draft cone. Regarding the
adjustable blades runner, the hub is designed to be
hollow, and a control rod is designed in the shaft middle
to change blades angle in order to suit different flow.
Runner material: stainless steel, or other specified by the client

higher efficiency, and longer service life. The factory tests including
static and dynamic balance test, UT test, and dimension measurement.
